When is remote hands needed instead of KVM? | SistemDC

When is remote hands needed instead of KVM?

When is remote hands needed instead of KVM?

Short answer: KVM / IPMI covers remote screen and power. Physical cable, disk, rail or button work needs remote hands.

Steps

  1. Try power and console via KVM/IPMI first.
  2. If physical work is required (cabling, disk insert, LED check), open a remote-hands ticket.
  3. List exact steps and which U / port in the ticket.
  4. Free monthly allowance and paid extras follow product terms — amounts are not invented here.

If these steps do not fix it, open a support ticket and include service ID, IP and what you already tried. Create a support ticket
