How does a hardware-fault parts swap work? | SistemDC

How does a hardware-fault parts swap work?

How does a hardware-fault parts swap work?

Short answer: In colocation the hardware is yours: failed parts are usually replaced with your spare; on-site work is via remote hands / visit.

Steps

  1. Narrow the fault (disk SMART, PSU, fan, etc.) as far as you can.
  2. Plan spare delivery (courier or hand-off) in a ticket.
  3. Book remote hands or a site visit for the swap.
  4. Test the service after the work and close the ticket.

SLA / RMA timelines depend on the product; contract text is not copied here. Create a support ticket
