How do I connect to a Linux VDS over SSH?

Short answer: Use the public IP and root (or issued user) over SSH. Port 22 is typical unless changed.

Steps

  1. Copy the VDS IP and root password from the client-area service detail.
  2. On Windows use PowerShell/Terminal or PuTTY; on macOS/Linux use Terminal.
  3. Run ssh root@SERVER_IP (or the issued username).
  4. Accept the host key on first connect and enter the password.
  5. If connection is refused, check firewall, IP and power — use VNC Console on the service page if needed.

If these steps do not fix it, open a support ticket and include service ID, IP and what you already tried. Create a support ticket
